RECONCILIATION

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is available 30 minutes before every Mass excluding Masses at Mother Teresa Catholic Academy.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is an experience of the gift of God's boundless mercy. Not only does it free us from our sins but it also challenges us to have the same kind of compassion and forgiveness for those who sin against us. We are liberated to be forgivers. We obtain new insight into the words of the Prayer of St. Francis: "It is in pardoning that we are pardoned."

Before celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation, one should prepare themselves with an examination of conscience. An examination of conscience is a “prayerful self-reflection on our words and deeds in the light of the Gospel to determine how we may have sinned against God”
~ From the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults

Are you ready to celebrate the God’s mercy? Are you seeking to recover your friendship with God? Has it been a while since your last confession? No matter how long it has been or what your questions may be, we invite you to come to the Sacrament of Reconciliation 30 minutes before each Mass or by appointment by calling the Church Office at 708-754-1363.

Students are prepared for the reception of the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist during their 2nd Grade year. There is a two year preparation period for the reception of this sacrament, meaning that children must attend 1st Grade and 2nd Grade. To register or to get additional information, call the Office of Faith Formation at 708-754-3460.
